Unspoilt Powys valley could be home to 70 wind turbines

The Llanbrynmair windfarm (between Llanbrynmair and Llanerfyl) has permission already for up to 25 turbines (around 125 metres high).

As I understand it Vattenfall are planning for up to 18 turbines at 220 metres (Mynydd Lluest y Graig). Bute Energy want up to 25 turbines up to 220 metres tall (Llyn Lort).

All these windfarms will be very close together, in fact the last two will be right next to each other.
